ITS2002 – CALL FOR PAPERS

ITS2002 is the International Telecommunications Symposium sponsored by the Brazilian Telecommunications Society (Sociedade Brasileira de Telecomunicações - SBrT) and the IEEE Communications Society (COMSOC), that provides a centralized unique forum for presentation of technological advances and research results. Four previous Symposia were successfully held in Rio de Janeiro (1990,1994), in Acapulco (1996) and in São Paulo (1998). ITS2002 will be held in the Natal city, capital of  the state of Rio Grande do Norte, on the Brazilian Northeast coast famous for its beautiful and sunny beaches,  from September 8-12, 2002, in the Pirâmide Palace Hotel.                                                 Homepage:   http://its2002.ufrn.br

Authors are   invited to submit original papers for consideration by the ITS2002 Technical Program Committee in any major areas of Telecommunications which include  the following topics:

All submissions must be prepared using one of the following word processing packages:
Word for Windows or LaTeX ("articles" style). Manuscripts must be typed in two columns per standard A4 page. The total length must not exceed 6 single-sided A4 pages including figures, tables and references and must be written in English. Detailed instructions for the preparation and submission are given in the instructions for authors. Please e-mail your paper for consideration, as an attachment in .pdf format, to its2002@npd.ufpe.br . You will be notified of acceptance by May 20, 2002.

Submission Deadline: March 31, 2002

The Organizing Committee would also like to receive proposals for 3 or 6 hour Tutorials to be taught on Monday (September 9th) and Thursday (September 12th), during the event. Proposals for Tutorials covering emerging topics in Telecommunications should be sent until March 31, 2002. They should contain a short biography of the speaker, the duration (3 or 6 hours) and a description of the topics to be discussed in the short course.

Exhibitors are invited to present the latest innovations in Telecommunications, and submit their requirements to the exhibitions committee by March 31, 2002.
